The Research and Innovation Division at KIU University fosters a dynamic research culture by encouraging collaboration across disciplines. We provide a supportive environment where students and faculty can explore new ideas, conduct impactful research, and contribute to global knowledge.
Our research spans multiple faculties, including Nursing, Behavioral Sciences, Health Sciences, Management, Computer Science and Engineering, and Biomedical Sciences, enabling meaningful contributions across diverse fields.
The excellence and diversity of our research across the Faculties of Nursing, Behavioral Sciences, Health Sciences, Management, Computer Sciences and Engineering, and Biomedical Sciences, positions us to make significant contributions to the global innovation agenda and, by conveying the implications of our research, to contribute to the formulation of policy.
In addition to activities ongoing within our faculties, we have identified strategic research initiatives and fostered interdisciplinary research collaborations that build on the existing research base at KIU to tackle challenges that can only be addressed by multidisciplinary teams of researchers. We aim to provide academic leadership in these areas and to develop strategic partnerships with institutions and industry partners around Sri Lanka and the world to advance research, and the impact of that research, in these fields.
