The academic year at KIU University is divided into two semesters, each lasting 6 months. Every semester comprises 16 weeks of academic-centered learning, where students engage in lectures, practical sessions, tutorials, and other learning activities.
The remaining 10 weeks of the semester are allocated for study leave, examinations, and semester-end vacation, providing students with time to revise, assess their learning, and recharge before the next semester begins.
This structured academic calendar ensures a balanced approach to learning, assessment, and personal development throughout the year.
