Bridging Theory and Practice

At the Faculty of Law, learning goes beyond the classroom. Our workshops are designed to help students connect legal theory with real-world practice, preparing them to become confident, skilled, and ethical professionals in the legal field.

We regularly conduct interactive workshops led by experienced legal practitioners, academics, judges, and industry experts. These sessions cover a wide range of topics, including:

· Moot court training and advocacy skills

· Alternative dispute resolution (ADR)

· Emerging areas of law such as cyber law, environmental law, and human rights

We were honoured to welcome Mr. Nigel Hatch, PC (Senior President’s Counsel and Former Acting Principal, Sri Lanka Law College) and Mr. Kalinga Indatissa, PC (Senior President’s Counsel and Visiting Lecturer, Sri Lanka Law College) to the Faculty of Law.
