The Master of Nursing Education and Master of Nursing Management Degrees by coursework (SLQF Level 9), adhere to the minimum entry qualification of

(i) being General Nurses, Nursing Sisters, Chief Nursing Officers, the successful completion of the SLQF Level 6 in the Bachelor of Science Honours in Nursing in any recognized university

or

(ii) the successful completion of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing or SLQF Level 5 in Bachelor of Nursing in any recognized university and successful completion of 30 credit passes in the Nursing Field. as prescribed in the Sri Lanka Qualification Framework (SLQF), and shall adhere to the condition that, the name of qualification shall not have any qualifier or specifications attached to it 

The Master of Science in Nursing degree proramme by course work and research component (SLQF Level 10), adhere to the minimum entry qualification of

(i) being Geneal Nurses, Nursing Sisters, Chief Nursing Officers, the successful completion of the SLQF Level 6 in the Bachelor of Science Honours in Nursing in any recognized university

or

(ii) the successful completion of the SLQF Level 9 in the Master of Nursing Education or Master of Nursing Management in any recognized university

or

(iii) being Nursing Graduates, in the Bachelor of Science Honours in Nursing (SLQF Level 6) in any recongnized university ; or (iv) the successful completion of the SLQF Level 6 or above in the relevant area of study, accepted by the Specified Authority as prescribed in the Sri Lanka Qualification Framework (SLQF), and shall adhere to the condition that, the name of qualification shall not have any qualifier or specification attached to it

Master of Philosophy in Nursing (SLQF Level 11) degree, adhere to the minimum entry qualification of

(a) the successful completion of sLQF Level 6 in a bachelor’s Honours degree in any recognized University in the relevant area of study with a minimum of 30 credits

or

(b) the successful completion of sLQF Level 6 in a bachelor’s Honours degree in any recognized University with a minimum of 30 credits in a related area of study and successful completion of a qualifying examination

or

(c) the successful completion of sLQF Level 5 in a bachelor’s degree in any recognized University with a minimum of GPA 3.0 at a scale of 0-4 and successful completion of a qualifying examination which will be conducted after the completion of 30 credits equivalent to SLQF Level 6, in the same or related area of study

or

(d) the successful completion of SLQF Level 7 or above in a relevant area of study

or

(e) the successful completion of NVQ Level 7 with a minimum of GPA 3.0 at a scale of 0-4 and successful completion of a qualifying examination which will be conducted after the completion of 30 credits equivalent to sLQF Level 6 or 7, as determined by the Specified Authority for admission in that field of specialization
