LEO Club of KIU

The LEO Club of KIU is a dynamic student-led organization affiliated with Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest service club network. The club focuses on developing leadership, experience, and opportunity (LEO) while empowering KIU students to engage in meaningful community service and personal development.

The LEO Club of KIU provides a platform for students to develop leadership skills, build teamwork, and participate in impactful service initiatives. Through various community-driven activities, members contribute to social development while enhancing their personal and professional growth.

Objectives

  • To nurture leadership potential among university students through service-oriented activities.
  • To promote social responsibility and civic engagement by addressing the needs of underprivileged communities.
  • To encourage fellowship, teamwork, and ethical conduct among young leaders.
  • To support the personal and career development of students through exposure to real-world challenges and service initiatives.

Student Engagement

The LEO Club of KIU welcomes students from all faculties to participate in community service, awareness programs, and social initiatives.

  • Environmental sustainability initiatives
  • Health and wellness campaigns
  • Educational support for under-resourced schools
  • Disaster relief and community development projects

Through workshops, seminars, and leadership camps, students gain valuable experience in project planning, public speaking, fundraising, and stakeholder collaboration—essential skills that complement their academic journey.

Welcome from the KIU Students' Union

“My time at Cambridge has been the most rewarding few years of my life. I applied with an idea of Cambridge as this distant mythical place where I couldn’t quite
imagine myself belonging, but I now struggle to see myself anywhere else.

The opportunities at Cambridge are like no other – from participating in clubs and societies to finding your way around College and learning to live independently. Most of all, the chance to study a subject you love while surrounded by students and academics who are just as passionate about it as you are leaves you with skills to take forward into life far beyond those you were expecting when you applied. I cannot encourage you enough to read on and then take the leap and apply!”
