KIU University features eight fully operational faculties, each housing multiple departments, supported by a dedicated team of accomplished staff committed to empowering students to reach their potential. Since being granted degree-awarding status in 2015, KIU has grown its academic portfolio significantly to include 14 undergraduate and 5 postgraduate degree programmes across 8 faculties and 17 departments. KIU’s Faculties

Faculty of Nursing — KIU’s Faculty of Nursing is dedicated to shaping the future of healthcare through excellence in education, research, and clinical practice. It offers the only UGC-accredited private sector nursing degree in Sri Lanka, providing both foundational and advanced training for registered nurses and aspiring healthcare professionals.

Faculty of Health Sciences — The Faculty of Health Sciences encompasses disciplines including Biomedical Science and Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, preparing graduates for careers at the intersection of modern and complementary healthcare practice.

Faculty of Behavioural Sciences — Home to the Department of Psychology, this faculty equips students with the theoretical foundations and applied skills to understand human behaviour and pursue careers in counselling, mental health, research, and related fields.

Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering — Covering software engineering, computer networks, and cybersecurity, this faculty prepares students for Sri Lanka’s growing technology sector and for careers with local and international technology employers.

Faculty of Law — The Faculty of Law is the gateway to becoming a world-class professional in the field of law with a Sri Lankan touch — offering a rigorous legal education grounded in both local and international legal frameworks. KIU

Faculty of Management — The Faculty of Management is dedicated to guiding graduates to embody leadership and cooperative skills across disciplines including Accountancy, Human Resources, and Marketing — preparing students for professional and corporate careers both locally and internationally. KIU

Faculty of Education and Languages — Offering programmes in education and language studies, this faculty supports the development of future educators and language professionals, meeting the growing demand for qualified teaching professionals across Sri Lanka.

Faculty of Graduate Studies — The Faculty of Graduate Studies provides postgraduate opportunities including MBA and M.Phil. programmes, designed for working professionals and recent graduates seeking to deepen their expertise, develop leadership capability, and pursue research at an advanced level.
