“Malmi Kiriwandalage is a highly dedicated and experienced Space Science Educator & Advocate, committed to empowering others through astronomy and space sciences, research, academia, and science communication. With a strong background in both educational and research settings, Malmi has consistently demonstrated her ability to develop and deliver engaging STEM workshops and curricula, including her work as a STEM Educator at Long Island Explorium. Her extensive outreach efforts as a Solar System Ambassador for NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory highlight her passion for public education and engagement in ongoing space explorations and research. Malmi’s research experience, including independent studies on the geology of Jezero crater and Martian landscapes, showcases her strong analytical and scientific capabilities. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Earth and Space Sciences and pursuing a Masters of Arts in Geological Sciences, Malmi is a well-rounded professional with a clear commitment to the field of space science. Her diverse skill set, encompassing technical proficiencies in HTML, Python, and ArcGIS, alongside strong communication and project management abilities, makes her a valuable asset in any scientific or educational endeavor.”
