The Career Guidance Unit (CGU) of KIU was established in December 2018 as a decision taken by the Quality Assurance Unit. CGU is dedicated to fostering the growth of talented and capable graduates through a series of meticulously planned events, workshops, and programmes. With a steadfast belief in the necessity of high-quality career guidance for every student, CGU endeavors to equip them with the knowledge and training required to navigate their future paths effectively. Recognizing the dearth of career opportunities accessible to many undergraduates, the CGU stands as a beacon of support, offering professional guidance through a team of highly qualified staff members. Embracing the conviction that informed decisions are the bedrock of success, the CGU strives to mold graduates who possess the discernment to chart their own destinies confidently.
To generate a capable future workforce from KIU along with necessary skills and professionalism to compete in the job market.
To ensure employability, empowering undergraduates with required skills, knowledge, and competencies, to meet the present-day requirements.
• To develop and maintain an online database for students on job training opportunities and job placements.
• Career counselling for students from the first year onwards and making them focus on their future career goals.
• To guide students to choose their career path according to their specialized areas and align to higher studies.
• To organize career awareness events, programmes, seminars, and lectures for KIU students.
The CGU successfully planned the Career Fair with the enthusiastic participation of over 50 industrial partners. KIU students were bestowed with the precious gift of knowledge through career development workshops held with unwavering dedication once every two months. The CGU KIU FB page aids KIU students in their odyssey towards professional fulfillment.
